About Me

Principal Developer · Systems Architect · Builder

🛠️The Technical Architect

By day I work as a Principal Developer and Systems Architect, setting technical direction and leading engineering on greenfield products. I build full-stack web applications from the ground up — clean UI, BFF layers, REST APIs, and the DevOps plumbing that keeps them shipping reliably. Continuous delivery, observability, and test workflows that catch regressions before users do are non-negotiables for me.

🏢Real Estate & Finance

Outside of code, I operate in property and lending. As a mortgage originator and loan officer, I navigate underwriting, disclosures, and the ethics of consumer finance. I'm also an active landlord and property manager — hands-on with leases, municipal inspections, tenant relations, and compliance across Maryland and Arizona. Land, one of the Open Tool apps, grew directly out of that work.

🎨Game Design

I have a long-running creative project: a retro-style CRPG with turn-based strategy combat. I obsess over the details — a custom six-element magic system, classic facesets, and mechanics that reward careful planning. Game on opentool.us is where that world lives in the browser.

How I Work

  • Builder: I like to make things — code, properties, custom PCs. Open Tool exists because I wanted a place to host the apps I actually use.
  • Design: I prefer deliberate, readable interfaces and classic aesthetics — clean layouts, strong typography, and hardware finishes that feel intentional.
  • Outside work: I stay active on the soccer field with my team, Strong King — playing, organizing logistics, and keeping the squad equipped.

I'm the person behind Open Tool — a pragmatic builder who cares about precision, privacy, and systems that stay up. Whether I'm shipping a deployment pipeline, closing a loan, or tuning a turn-based combat mechanic, I approach the work the same way: understand the problem, build something durable, and refine it until it feels right.
